Opis Budipest
Are you downtown, and in urgent need of a toilet? Budipest helps!
Budipest is a community-based toilet finder app that seeks to alleviate the problem of public toilets in Hungary by making existing toilets more visible, and displaying restrooms in clubs and bars that are open to anyone.
The main features of Budipest:
- See restrooms around you on a map and in a list
- Check the opening hours of restrooms, and their main features (eg. free or paid, price of entry, accessibility, etc.)
- Rate toilets or add helpful comments to them
- Anyone can add new toilets to the app
This app is open source. We created it with our small team in our spare time, so any help is welcome.

(05-04-2021)Co nowego- New method for localisation handling- Cluster toilets on the map- Limit the number of toilets in the "Nearby toilets" list to 20- Selecting a toilet or animating to your own location will now zoom in to the map (if not already zoomed in)- When showing distance, use kilometres instead of metres where appropiate- Major performance improvements- Bugfixes for the add toilet flow (toilets wouldn't appear on the map, in the list, an error popup would show, you'd need to restart the app, etc.)
